CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS FOR BEING SELECTED INTO THE 2012 ALL REGION HONOR BAND:

The Duncan High School Bands have a tradition of excellence and the program is well known throughout the state of Oklahoma.  The bands have earned numerous OSSAA Sweepstakes Awards and consistently been finalists at the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association Marching Championships.

The DHS Bands have also traveled extensively and in recent years have participated in band contests in Orlando, FL, Branson, MO, and Dallas, TX.  In the Spring of 2006, the band traveled to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, PA to perform and tour.

The DHS Bands serve Duncan, Oklahoma by performing at DHS athletic events and through performances at various community organization meetings as well as by marching in the Veterans Day Parade and the annual Christmas Parade.

Numerous members of the DHS Bands have been selected to the Oklahoma All-State Band and the Southwest Oklahoma Band Directors Association All-Region Bands.  Many Duncan High School Band Alumni have been awarded music scholarships to various universities and colleges.

Currently, the Duncan High School Band has 86 members in grades 9 - 12. The High School programs are associated and fed by students of the Duncan Middle School Band Program. Please visit their website by clicking here for more information.
